Annunciation
The angel
of the Lord declared unto Mary,
and she conceived of the Holy Ghost
The Angelus
Listen, friends, Romans, seekers,
to the familiar miracle;
memorized, recited, visualized,
each childhood noon.
Gabriel hovers. Mary bows her head.
Now I find the story is mine,
everyman's story of the call,
the summoning,
awakening of virgin psyche
to the seed of Spirit:
Truth descends to meet our need.
I feel the past rise up as gospel.
And if I attune to hear the song,
do I hear heaven…angel… intuition…
sounding in my heart?
I stretch my mind, feel God in me,
wake up, begin to see my inner, stature;
deeper, taller, angelic,
Christ born again each now
in me.
And
If I listen;
hear the call;
i n v i t e God in;
open to the seed of Spirit;
rejoice in the One I bear within;
nurture the Love living in my Heart;
bring Christ forth into the world each day;
allow my Christ, and yours, to grow, flourish;
raise up Peace with every thought;
feed on Joy in word and deed;
name it F r e e d o m,
name it G o d,
name us
God…
…what
wonders
can I then
create?
